“Perhaps I’m old and tired, but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied.”

Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

What is Pragmatic Abstraction?

Pragmatic Abstraction is a reflection on pursuits that keep me occupied. Some may be cliché, some may be novel, some maybe mundane, some maybe exceptional.

Being pragmatic comes easily to me, so does being abstract. I judiciously craft experiences to make them abstract or unexpected.

Hence, the name Pragmatic Abstraction.

Here, I share thoughts on Product Marketing, Customer Experience in the digital world and Growth Marketing strategies for software and online businesses. Sometimes I write about my travel experiences as well.

Professional Background

My first Marketing project was a flyer I created for a superficial educational institute my cousin wanted to establish. Little did I know, I will end up choosing it as my occupation.

When I chose MBA after graduation in Computer Science, I had no idea that the combination of these two skills will be a brilliant advantage for my career.

After working for ten years in the corporate sector with leading names like Oracle, IBM, Adobe, I decided to test the waters and establish my identity beyond big corporations and designations.

Interests and other pursuits

An interesting travel tale, brilliant book, poignant poem, Urdu verse, any of these can keep me captivated for a long time.

If not these pursuits, a long walk, hikes, honest conversations lift my mood.
